Internet banking FAQ

All account holders who have attained majority and are having operative accounts in the Bank can avail this facility. All Savings Bank Account holders (individuals) can avail this facility. In case of Savings Bank account opened in joint names, if the operation clause is "any one", then they can avail Internet Retail Banking. If the operation clause is "jointly", then they can opt only for Internet Banking (Corporate) facility. Current Accounts opened in the name of partnership concerns can also open Internet Banking (Retail Banking).

Customers desirous of availing Internet Banking facility should submit an application form to the base branch where the accounts are maintained, mentioning the account numbers for which they require Internet Banking facility.

In case customers are maintaining accounts with other Branches, they can link all these accounts by submitting separate written applications to the respective branches where their accounts are maintained and request for linking these accounts to the Internet ID obtained for the base account.

Customers can opt for a User- ID while submitting the application seeing Internet Banking facility. If the chosen User- ID has been allotted earlier, then they can opt for alternate IDs or numbers are suffixed to the User- ID to make it unique.

The PIN Mailers would be mailed to the base branch within 7 days of submitting the application and the customers can collect the same by signing the acknowledgement.

Ensure that the PIN Mailers are intact while collecting from the branch. The PIN Mailer would contain the login password and the authorization password which will be numeric. Memorize the passwords and destroy the same. On first login, users have to change the login and authorization passwords.

Further, customers should also choose one picture/image from among the listed pictures and type an English phrase and remember the same. The chosen picture and the phrase would be displayed at the time of every login.

Customers can login to and click on the Internet Banking Tab and choose Personal Banking option or login to for Personal Banking. Enter the User- ID and password when prompted for.

The following services are available:

Account Details: This enables customers to access information about their running accounts, loan accounts and deposit accounts. Customers can download statements of accounts; ascertain the fate of the instruments sent for collection, status of the cheques issued for payment and the individual transaction details.

Online Requests: Customers can request for Demand Drafts online and opt for collecting the same personally or request the Bank to send the same through courier to their residential address. Customers can also request for issue of cheque books, however, the Bank reserves the right for issuance of cheque books. Customers can also issue instructions to the Bank for Stop Payment of the cheques issued by them. Customers can register their mobile numbers for SMS/Mobile Banking.

Online Deposits: Customers can open Term Deposits online. Funds can be transferred from their base account to Fixed or Reinvestment Deposits and in maturity the funds would be credited to their base account automatically. Customers can also pre-maturely close their deposits online and the funds would be credited to their base account. Opening, closing and pre-mature closing of deposits can be done online. For availing loans against online deposits, customers need to visit the base branch after marking the request online and on the same day. The branch would print the deposit receipt for discharge before sanctioning the loan amount.

Funds Transfer: Funds can be transferred within the Bank or across Banks. Customers can transfer funds within their own accounts or to pre- approved third party beneficiaries within the Banks or across Banks.

Funds can also be transferred across Banks. The Internet Banking facility uses NEFT(National Electronic Funds Transfer) to transfer funds to Banks that have been allotted an Indian Financial Standard Code(IFSC). The maximum amount that can be transferred using funds Transfer option is restricted toRs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Only) per day for retail Banking customers.

Customers can transfer funds across Banks through Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) also. Funds can be transferred to Banks that have been allotted an Indian Financial Standard Code (IFSC) and the minimum amount that can be transferred through RTGS is Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh only) and the maximum that can be transferred per day is restricted to Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Only).

Customers can also use Immediate Mobile Payment Service (IMPS) for effecting funds transfer within or across Banks by using Person-to-Person (P2P), Person-to-Merchant (P2M), Merchant-to-Person (M2P) or Person to Account (P2A) funds transfer facility. For using this facility, the customer should have registered for Mobile Banking facility and the maximum amount that can be transferred thorough this option is restricted to Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only).

For P2P, the customer should provide the Mobile Number, Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) of the beneficiary

Beneficiary Registration: Customers can register for beneficiaries online and upon registration, customers would get a One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile/email [as chosen] and the OTP should be entered for successful registration of the beneficiary.

Utility Payments: Customers can make payment of their LIC Premia, Direct Tax (Income Tax), Indirect Tax like Service Tax, Central/State Excise, Value Added Tax(VAT), Service Tax, Professional Tax and Customers duty.

Book Railway Tickets online, subscribe for Initial Public Offering (IPO) through Application Supported Blocked Amount (ASBA), Mobile Top up, etc.

Electronic Payment Gateway: The Bank offers connectivity to various payment Gateways for ticketing, fees payment for educational institutions, donations to religious institutions, etc. Customers need to log in to the respective websites and would be directed to the Bank’s website where the customer has to provide the User- ID, login and authorization password. A one-time-password [OTP] would be sent to the registered mobile number of the customer for every transaction and upon entering the one time password, the transaction is completed.

Credit Card Payments: Corporation Bank Credit Card users can make payment of their credit card dues through Internet Banking module.

There are no charges for registering and obtaining Internet Banking User- ID and for its usage. However, for Demand Drafts, 25% of the applicable charges are payable. For Railway ticket booking a service charge of Rs.12/- (exclusive of Service Tax) is collected per ticket. For RTGS transactions, the charges are levied exclusive of Service Tax.

a.Always type the address of the website in the address bar of the browser.
b.Do not share any of your passwords with anyone.
c.Use the virtual keyboard when you are accessing the website from Internet Café/ Public places.
d.Check your last login date and time whenever you login.
e.Be vigilant and do not share the User- ID/ Passwords online or for offers or with anyone
f.Update your latest mobile number for receiving One Time Passwords/updates.
g.Update your latest e-mail address to receive alert messages for transactions.

  2. i.Ensure that you have https (Secure site) and the lock symbol is visible to indicate that the communication is secure.
